  • How to create healthy dishes

  • How to add more fiber with vegetables and whole grains

  • Identifying hidden sources of sugar

  • Shopping strategies for a budget

  • Physical activity and understanding chronic diseases

Food Distribution

Eastmont Community Center operates a 500 square foot food pantry stocked with nearly 6,000 pounds of food. Our pantry features food racks, commercial freezers, and refrigerators to keep everything fresh. We also have a refrigerated Sprinter 3500 van to pick up fresh produce and other donations. Our goal is to collect and safely store nutritious food items that we distribute for free to community members in need. These donations come from generous partners like the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and local stores such as Pizza Hut, Target, Food 4 Less, and Walmart.

We distribute food by appointment only. Community members who are registered through our Emergency Food Assistance program can pick up their food in person. This program is open to all families in the community. You must live within the 1st Supervisorial District, outside the City of Los Angeles.
