Businesses, community organizations, and individual supporters are invited to contribute through sponsorships, in-kind donations, and volunteer service.

EAST LOS ANGELES, CA — Eastmont Community Center (ECC) has launched its 2026 Thanksgiving fundraising campaign, bringing together partners and supporters to help provide meals, groceries, and a meaningful holiday gathering for families connected to its programs.

The campaign supports ECC’s annual Thanksgiving Community Celebration on Friday, November 20, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon. The celebration will serve families who have participated in ECC’s programs and services.

Last year, support from sponsors and community partners helped ECC provide 600 turkeys, 1,500 hot meals, and 225,000 pounds of groceries, helping families meet their food needs during the holiday week. This year’s campaign builds on that tradition while highlighting the year-round services that make Eastmont a trusted resource for East Los Angeles families.

ECC’s work extends beyond the holiday season, connecting residents with food assistance, education, childcare, financial empowerment, and other essential services. Its Thanksgiving celebration brings that ongoing work into focus through the families, staff, volunteers, and partners who make it possible.

Early Sponsors Lead the Campaign

ECC is thrilled to recognize the organizations already supporting this year’s celebration:

Presenting Sponsor: The Kroger Family of Companies, including Food 4 Less and Ralphs

Gold Sponsors: Cal Water and Preferred Bank

Silver Sponsor: Via Care

Friends of Eastmont: SoCalGas

Event Community Partner: LA County Supervisor Hilda L Solis

Additional organizations are invited to join the campaign through Diamond sponsorships at $7,500, Gold sponsorships at $5,000, Silver sponsorships at $3,000, and Friends of Eastmont contributions at $1,500. Recognition opportunities vary by level and include campaign visibility, digital marketing acknowledgment, and select event recognition.

Food, Supplies, and Services Needed

In-kind contributions offer businesses and community organizations practical ways to support the celebration, food distribution, and meal service.

Pantry and collection-box donations include rice, pasta, dried and canned beans, instant mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, cereal, oatmeal, instant noodles, stuffing, and cornbread or biscuit mixes. Additional needs include flour, sugar, vegetable or olive oil, baking mixes, salt and seasonings, broth, gravy packets, peanut butter, protein bars, crackers, dried fruit, applesauce, and cookies.

Food distribution contributions include turkeys; produce such as onions, celery, carrots, beets, sweet potatoes, and garlic; milk, eggs, and creamer; canned green beans and cranberry sauce; and boxed holiday meal staples.

Hot meal contributions include pancake mix, orange juice, hash browns, syrup, and ketchup.

Event supplies and service partnerships are also welcome, including gloves, hairnets, sanitizing wipes, disposable plates, napkins, cups, T-shirts, DJ services, and volunteer support for a photo booth.

Organizations interested in contributing perishable foods, supplies, or services should contact ECC to coordinate donations and delivery arrangements.

Help Power the Celebration

ECC is recruiting volunteers to support this year’s event. Businesses, employee teams, community organizations, and individual volunteers are invited to help strengthen the center’s capacity to welcome and serve participating families.

Prospective partners interested in getting to know Eastmont’s work are encouraged to connect with the team about attending the celebration. The gathering offers an opportunity to meet the people behind ECC’s programs, experience its community impact firsthand, and explore possibilities for future collaboration.
